Iain Cooper
Iain has a wealth of musical talent and experience.
He commenced his musical education as a chorister at Bristol Cathedral and studied the organ both at Bristol and Oxford, and the piano at Bristol and Cambridge.
He read music at Keble College, Oxford where he was also accompanist to the Chapel Choir and directed the Arcadian Singers. He also holds an M.Litt from Bristol University.
Iain began his teaching carer in Salisbury and later became Director of Music at the King's School - the choir school of Peterborough Cathedral. From 1988 - 201 Iain worked in Cambrige, primarily as Director of Music at the Perse School.
After Cambridge, Ian moved to Cheltenham to pursue a freelance carer, teaching the piano at Dean Close School, tutoring for the Open University's Music department, examining for ABRSM and conducting Cleeve Choral, a local choral society and Bridgwater Choral Society in Somerset.
In 2008 Iain moved to Exeter. He has continued to pursue most of the activities above and also directs the Chapel Choir of St Margaret's School, which performs regularly in Exeter Cathedral and elsewhere.
